RECEPTION
We will need your arrival details (arrival time and place, flight or train n°) at least one week before your arrival date in Marseille in order to arrange your reception. Moreover, our Host Families and our ADELPROVENCE correspondant are there for you during your stay to help you with your new life in Marseille
TRANSFER
In case of host family for the minor, your host family or an ADELPROVENCE correspondant is offering pick-up on arrival. (from the Airport-Marignane or from the train station SAINT CHARLES).
For other accomodation, when arriving at the airport (Marignane), there is an airport bus every 20 minutes to Marseille (28 km) (price 8.50 Euros) and you will reach the town centre in 30 minutes. When arriving at the train station(St Charles), you are already in the town centre and can go to your accomodation by bus or by Métro (1.70 euros) in less than 10 minutes.
(A telephone number will be made available for emergencies and you will also be kept informed about transport timetables and updates thereof).
HOST FAMILY
Considering the organisation’s obligations and in order to avoid last-minute changes, the address of the host family and relevant information will be communicated to the parents in the 10 days prior the departure. The school which the student will attend will be the closest to his lodgings (20 minutes by bus/metro). We must remind you that the host family offer only board and lodging and are not expected to make any expenditure beyond this.
- For lodgings in a university residence, a down-payment will be requested of the participant which he can recover at the end of his stay after having left the lodgings in an acceptable state of repair and cleanliness.
Pocket money (personal budget) for the minors (school year)
Parents should provide their child with pocket-money to cover the following personal expenses : individual costs (drinks, post-cards, going out, excursions…) and local transport to get to and from school, the place of residence and activities.
Note : the participants are not accompanied during trips on local transport. |

SPORT / REMARK :
• Parents of minors must provide a certificate permitting their child to do the sport that is chosen.
• The following documents should be provided: A medical aptitude certificate, a certificate issued by the competent authority in your country showing you can swim.
• You are asked to provide these documents with your enrollment
- please provide an attestation from the competent authorities in your country certifying that your child is able to swim.
ASSISTANCE
There is an assistance telephone number available 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM.
One of our personnel members responsible for host family selection and supervision of the stay also acts as counselling officer.
CANCELLATION – CHANGING
You have to know that a programme that has already started has to be paid in fulland if for any reason the programmes cannot take place, you will be refunded without that any further compensation will be owed by ADEL PROVENCE.
INSURANCE
Once in Marseille, our insurance covers the organisation aspects of the stay. Your own civil responsibility insurance must cover the participant for other aspects during the entirety of his stay : incidents or accidents which take place at the place of residence, school, excursions or sporting activities.
Our school, the host families and the clubs which organise the activities also have their own insurance coverage.
Our insurance does not cover : health problems, hospitalisation, repatriation and theft. Any student coming to France for less that 3 months is required to take out insurance personally.
(An attestation of insurance must be provided before the stay.)
AT SCHOOL
The first morning is devoted to the written and oral placement test, explaining the various documents you will be given.
You have the possibility to lunch in one of the snack bars or small restaurants near the school for less than 10 €.
Free Internet access / connection at school / wifi.
At the end of your course you will receive a certificate showing the length and the level of French you have achieved (3 months later).

- These stays are aimed at people who are able to adapt easily, as the customs and habits vary from one country to another as well as from one host family to another.
- Apart from the information provided by ADEL PROVENCE, each participant is responsible for acquainting himself with the social and economic situation at his destination.
- We have a customer-satisfaction evaluation procedure as well as a procedure for handling complaints.
- You will receive a welcome package on your arrival, containing a document pack, information about the city of Marseille, city map, public transport timetables, etc…
Administrative Formalities
National of the European Union don’t need a visa. For othr nationalities, a tourist visa is delivered by the French Embassy in your country for any stay up to 3 months. For a longer stay you need a student visa.
At least 10 days before your departure, ADEL PROVENCE will send you information and advice regarding your host country and the stay
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

driving any motorised vehicle and hitch-hiking are strictly prohibited for all participants.

Consumption of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited.

Parents must ensure that their personal civil responsibility, insurance (multiple risk in place of residence, extra school insurance, etc.) covers fully their child’s stay abroad or, should it not, take out individual coverage. This is required because the participants’ civil responsibility is not covered by ADEL PROVENCE’s professional civil responsibility insurance as organiser of the stay.

Parents must ensure that their child has proper medical coverage for the stay before departure.
